We salute all our veterans today, both biped & canine. Thank woo for your service. Humom & Dad both had lots of relatives who have served bravely. In fact, human dad was what they call "a Jarhead". (Not sure what that is, but it sounds like it has to do with food, yum!) He teaches new recruits at the Navy base now.
And a special prayer going out today for our friend Moon's dad, who was deployed to the Middle East in September. Thank you, Scott, and may God grant you a safe return!

A *SALUTE* to ALL Veterans - Past & Present ...
and to My Dad - Lieutenant Colonel Jack E. M... -
who served as a Combat Engineer with the US Army Corps of Engineers in WW II.
Dad built some of the first US Assult Airfields on the Pacific Islands of
Guam, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa.

My dad was in the Army in Korea in 1951, but he never says much about what he did or saw there.
