Woos & a-roos to yous!
It's a beawootiful sunny Sunday, so mom, dad, & mom's friend took Tori & me to a whole bunch of really great places today! Lots of new experiences for Tori, I don't think she's efur gone places like this before!
We went to Brenton's Point, where we walked on the rocks.
Lots of rocks, lots of waves, lots of wind...perfect!
I call this one "Jumping Jack's" ha-roo roo roo!
We discovered lots of smelly stuff too!
And we posed on more rocks.
The Beans checked out the monuments. Ha-roo roo, isn't this funny - you know how they always want us to "pose"? Mom & Lee were busy talking and we stood perfectly still - they didn't even know it!
But dad was watching from down the hill. Turns out he had the flashie box with him.
This next monument commemorates the Portugese navigators who discovered and mapped this part of the New World. They were the first to map 3/4 of the earth - which is whay its 3/4 of a globe. The grounds & monument commemorate the Prince Henry School of Navigation: About 1418, Prince Henry started the first school for oceanic navigation along with an astronomical observatory at Sagres, Portugal. In this school, people were trained in nagivation, map-making, and science.
(Thanks for the help on that one, mom, I could never have remembered all that myself)
After we left this park, we went to another place and checked out a lighthouse up close! mom says she'll get those pics ready to post later this week, when things are boring.Hope your weekend wasn't boring!
