Monday's View from the Moo: Teasing Siblings

Ha-woo everyone,

It's time for some fun on this weeks view from the Moo!
I love to tease my big brofur Jack.
Its so easy to push his buttons...
....It's all in fun, of course.

Hey Jack, Mom just handed out treats fur us!
Do woo know where yours is?
I'll give woo a hint:
psst: its in my tummy!
Arrggghhhh! Woo know what this means!!!
I'm gonna go tell Mom!
(I know she didn't get any treats, but...
I'll go show mom my Sad Face....
...guess who'll get an extra treat now?)
***********************
Ha-woo, well, that didn't go quite as planned, but that's ok. We each did get a treat & I got to tease Jack - he'll get even by chasing me all over the yard.... which is what I had in mind in the first place --ha-roo roo roo! See, it all works out!

and that's this week's View from the Moo

Friday Flurries Flop

Woozers, will ya look at this?
Wasn't it like 5o-something out yesterday?
Where'd this come from?

Do woo think its a trap? Maybe someone is trying to
kidnap huskies by making it snow enough to get us to
go out and play so they can steal us???

Nah, I think some huskies kicked down our way from the
Iditarod Trail. They want us to follow it & come join them.

Seriously?

Just wishful thinking.

Not that we don't enjoy a romp in the frozen slush, but it would be nice if it was a little floofier. Hope somepup somewhere got some fluffy stuff!

a-roos to yous & toodle woo,
jack & moo

True Color Challenge #6; PEARL GRAY

This week's True Colors Challenge is Pearl Gray.

Mom started looking around outside - and its hard
to miss Dad's big pearl gray truck in the driveway!
Around back she found our remembrance marker for
Mom's old kitty boy, Chow-Chow. The marker has weathered
to a soft pearl-gray patina.
Mom's boy Dan was about 7, he described
Chowdie: "He's like the color of old pearls"...
isn't that a lovely description?
Then Mom moved indoors - and voila! Moo's "pretty leash"
is orchid & pearl gray. The gray part is reflective & looks light
lightning when light hits it - perfect for night walks!
... and then I woo'd "hey, Mom, look what I found -
woo have pearl gray paws today!
silly humans, sometimes they don't look
past the tips of their snooters!
The "challenge" was to show a gray day...
well, we got that covered!
Me, during our big (and only) winter snowfall:

I think we met this weed's challenge beawootifully!

Entertaining Mom

A-roos to yous!
We've been working hard to keep mom entertained while her paw recovers. We must be doing a great job, cause today she took off most of the gauzie-stuff & will only need a band-aid. We have lots of those, cause usually when Dad plays with Mr. A-drill, Mr. A. Saw & their buddies, he ends up needing a band-aid too. They must play as rough as Moo, ha-roo-roo!
(Dad's been playing with his tool buddies all day downstairs)
Mom sat outside on Saturday while we chased each other...
bodyslams, skittering, knocking stuff over...
woo know, the usual...
...till Mom told us to knock it off and
"hug and make up" so we did...kinda
We know that made her feel better!

We'll keep taking care of her, after all, its our job as a working breed. Of course, we were really bred to pull humans all over the place, but fur now, we'll just nap at her side and provide plenty of fuzzy love.

Happy Sunday,
Jack a-roo & Miss Moo

Friday Fotos: Silly Gooses!

A-roos to yous!
It's been quite an adventurous week around here. On Tuesday (hearts & love day), mom took us up to our favorite windmill park fur a walk. We dragged her over to the pond and said hi to the ducks, but the geese were no where to be seen. Where could they be???

We followed the trail of goose-hoo up
to the waterfall...but no geese there.
We followed it through the grove of trees - no geese,
but mom noticed a big pile of feathers scattered all over the lawn.
She was also amazed to find the trees flowering in mid-February:
We sniffed all around the windmill,
and even woo'd for the geese....
We checked around the gardens and all the way in the back
where the creek bends into the woods and a big field.......
...still no geese.
Moo checked both sides of the stone walls...
nope, no geese here, either.
Then we heard honking....
and saw a line of white heads bobbing up and down
behind the stone wall on the far side of the park.

The geese came through an opening and
marched single file all the down to the pond.
By the time we walked back, they were waiting fur us!
Happy Valentine's Day, Geese!
Woo had us a little worried maybe
woo became someone's Valentine's Dinner!
but all they said was "Honk honk honk honk honk".
Maybe that's "Nice to see woo two" in Goose-talk.
Ha-roo roo roo!

Today we are serious working dogs.... Mom has "paw surgery" at the hospital and we are going to take care of her when she gets home. We promise to watch over her and not let her do too much. We even promised not to shed so she won't have to vacuum fur a couple days. We promised to be really good about playing at home and not body-slamming her when we're all outside. We even promised to be extra-watchful that squirrels don't cause any problems. We may let her out of posting our blog fur us for a few days, but we'll make sure she reads your blogs to us. We appreciate if woo send her good thoughts & vibes Friday morning, okay?

Thanks from all of us,
jack & moo & mom & dad

Wednesday Woos- the Fort on our Island!

Hey pups, there's a fort right here on our island!
Ft. Adams was built in the 1799 to defend Narragansett Bay from the British! Mom took us fur a walk, a very short walk, the other day. We didn't stay long cause th wind blows really hard there, and the windchill factor it was only 8°, which apparently is too cold for humans. We thought it was GREAT!

So there's not many pics, but we thought we'd post them anyway.
Here's a View Over Moo, ha-roo roo roo!
(Actually, that's Jack's fuzzy fur in front.)
I walked around to check out these cannon things...
very cautiously, cause mom said they be dangerous
and make a lot of noise...
...but not today! Nothing in there, Mom, is safe to come closer!
Moo spotted the entrance to the Fort. It had a big iron fence across it.
Hey Jack! Lets see if we can sneak in!
Hmm, I don't think so, moo, its too tight a fit fur my fluff!
Maybe I can squeeze in over here....Eeeeerrrrrrgh!
Nope, I don't want to squash my fluffy self and get stuck!

Hey, Moo, wouldn't this be perfect for Capt. Mav
to put on the Good Ship Maverick??
"Ready, aim, fire, Harrrrr!"
...and with that, Mom headed back us back to the warm Siberian Outback.
Maybe we'll get to come again sometime,
I sure would like to come back here for more adventures!

A-roos to yous, and toodle-woo,
jack & moo

Valentine's Day + Pillars of Strength

So much to post today.... but First Things First:

THANK WOO ALL
for your support & votes on
Mango Minster-
(But you'll alway be our #1 cutie, Missy Moo!)
Love,
Mom, Dad, & Jack a-roo

Next on our blog "to do" list for today:
To All Beloved Canine Companions:
"Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring - it was peace." -Milan Kundera-
Hope woo all have a wonderful day with your loved ones,
both those near at hand and those in your heart.

...and we have one more very important post-
Mom, take over the keyboard, your paws are better at this than ours...
This is for K, R, and their human woman, KB . They live way up in the beautiful mountains of CO. And KB is an amazing photographer! She posts pics of all kind of critters - their blog is a real treat to visit!

But sadly, there is a shadow on their happiness. K has osteosarcoma, and it isn't always easy to keep one's spirits soaring , even at those altitudes. So a group of bloggers have come together to dedicate today's blog posts as "PILLARS OF STRENGTH" for K & her pack, just to let them know they aren't in this alone.

It takes courage to face each day and fight this disease. We lost of our sweet boy, Sherman, to canine cancer that cut his life off way way too early. I watched my mother battle this disease for years as it stole her strength, vitality, and finally, her life. Love is what sustains us in this battle. And today , we celebrate Love. We're sending Sibe Vibes of healing and strength to K and her pack. God bless them. ~Mama Pat
