It took us up along the bay….
we saw a geese family teaching their babies how to swim here - so cute!
(mom didn't get a pic, you'll have to trust us on that "cute" part.)
And we passed some amazing back yards -
just look at this magnificent magnolia in bloom!
We heard cackling…. and mom spotted this cute little red hen house -
notice the "state of Texas" window trim?
We walked & walked, and Jack spotted something else cool-
Check out this tree-house village for birds!
Many people said hello to us as they biked & jogged past, it was run to see them all! We had a nice long drink of water when we got back to our Siberian Outback.
In spite of it being a great place to walk, we will not go back.
Once mom got us to the car, she noticed there were some
undesirable "hitch-hikers" trying to tag along.
She pulled 4 ticks off me, oh yuck! As soon as we got home, we both got brushed & inspected and got our monthly tick meds a few days early.
Tis is a good time to take this opportunity to remind everyone to inspect us pups on a regular basis and use a good form of reliable flea & tick meds thats appropriate for where you live. Be especially wary if you buy these online - mom tried that once and when they arrived, that formulation had no protection from lyme tics, which we have in abundance here. Fortunately the parent company replaced it with the right stuff at no charge, but be warned, check what you get carefully.
That wraps up today's View from the Moo, time to go nap in the sun,
toodle-woo!

hey Miss Moo,
I am so sad your Royal Wedding adventure is over. I loved all the pictures and reading about all the exciting things you and Mav did. What fun! What memories! And you looked so beautiful! Especially with the gorgeous Emerald choker!
What a pretty walk you and Jack had. Sorry that the ticks had to ruin it. Glad your mom got them all off. They sure are creepy critters!

p.s. That magnolia tree is just amazing!
Well, at least it was fun for the day, but Mom is wise to say no more. The Momster saw the other day that Massachusetts has an epidemic of Lyme disease because of all the ticks. We just had our meds yesterday. Hopefully those ticks will stay away from you too.

Yay for the beau-woo-tiful place to walk and the pictures! But, a loud boo for ticks. Those are not good. Could woo please have Hu-Mom give you a hug from me; I bet woo are gorgeous after being brushed! *HUG HUG* for Jack and Moo
Hugs,
Elyse
Four ticks!!!! They will suck the blood right out of you. Great pictures. That tree is huge and beautiful

Oooh yuck! Lucky your mum is so vigilant about the ticks. Looks like it was a nice walk, anyway.
We have those lyme ticks here too. Pea and I have both gotten the lyme disease. No fun.

Hi Moo! We are sorry that you had to have those ticks - it is such a pretty place to walk otherwise! Too bad there isn't some kind of dog shield to keep them away (like they head towards you but instead of reaching you hit the invisible shield and bounce back) so you could go pretty places like that to walk. But we think avoiding the ticks is a bit more important than walking someplace pretty (maybe it is nice when it is cooler and the ticks won't be there - not sure how that works, I can only really base it off mosquitos which leave in winter)
eeewwww....I'm scratching just looking at that! but you shouldn't let ticks ruin your fun. i pull them off juno every time. one time i didn't check and it was attached and full! that's REALLY gross. and she had tick/flea meds... so i have to wonder how good they are for her. loki never gets them, or if find them on him, they are already dead, like they tried biting him and died instantly. i don't know why it doesn't work as well for June-Bug (meaning i found the one tick attached). but plan to ask the vet. it's frontline plus for ticks which i buy from the vet.
Terrific looking trail, but the ticks - yuck. WE are fortunate that so few ticks live where we live.
What a cool walk - and I just LOVE that Texas mailbox! Wooooo!!! BUT ticks?!?!? Those are nasty bugs!!! Now Mom is going over me and Zim with a fine-toothed comb. Literally.
Luv,
Dave
