Guess what? I had to go the vets this morning. All they did was poke me with a needle & take blood, but I made them work for it- the vet tech mumbled about "huskies.... not only do you have to get down thru all this fuzz, their veins are so small! Great results - no problemos! I got treats cause I was so good.
We're hanging around with mom today, dad went back to work. Star is snoozing in her favorite end of the yard where she digs up rocks, and I'm following mom around.
Poor dad. Remember we mentioned his hurt foot-foot on Monday? Star & I checked him out when he came back from his feety-feet Dr. like this:

Dad gets to go back to meet Mr. Sir Jury in a couple weeks. They say that'll make him feel better! I wonder if they'll give him treats if he's good?

Mom says one of my Sibestas (Banshey) had a blood draw last week in anticipation of getting her toofurs khleaned - the vet did NOT have an easy time finding her blood either!
We hope your dad's foot gets better with that magikh shoe on!

Our vet has learned to give us treats before, during and after they poke us. So a trip to the vet is a treat fest! Great to hear that the results were good and hope your dad feels better soon.

Our vets say the same thing about us - it took a while to get Phantom's blood the last time too.

Hummm... I go to the vet next Friday. What is up with everyone having appointments for the vet for checkups? OUCHIE on your dad's feety feet. We hope that paw gets better soon.

Huffle beat us to it - we were going to ask if your dad slept too close to the heater and hurt his paw that way, but maybe that only happens in Australia.
We learned that a Siberian's veins are actually deeper under the skin than most dogs, a design that helps keep them warmer in extreme climates. So it is not so much smaller veins, as deeper (and harder to find) ones. Pretty "cool", huh?
Wow! That's some foot. I hope your dad's foot gets to feeling better soon. I guess that's what happens when you don't have paw fur!
