In Memory of Paxil

Farewell, dear Paxil,  t'was time for you 

to don silver harness and run 

across the space that separates

those here, from those who've gone.

You were dearly loved by many more

who only knew you through 

the tales told by TamaraLynn,

but we also cherished you.

We loved your twinkling eyes,

frosty face and spotted tongue.

Now your legacy of lead-dog-smarts

pass on to younger ones.  

Watch over all the Wandering Spirits,

keep them safe within your sight, 

guide them through their roughest trails,

bring them through their darkest night.

One day, beyond the Rainbow Bridge, 

you will all meet up again,

till that time, we promise, girl,

we won't forget you, dearest friend.
