Dad & mom spent most of Friday figuring out what went wrong, snaking out pipes in the basement & bathroom, and inspecting drains...Followed by a thorough scrubbing of the tub. We're furry happy to report the immediate emergency has been dealt with, and Mr. ProfessionalPlumber will be called. We hope he brings A. Drill and Mr. Sawsall and his other work buddies with him and we can avoid a repeat of this in the future.
Since this auspicious event was deemed not photo-worthy,
we made a sketch of us
watching from a safe distance down the hall:
Having to deal with plumbing most of the day kept the bipeds from taking us out on that car ride mom promised. (She didn't even check blogs like usual, either!) It also kept them out of the stores & Black Friday Frenzy, like anyone really needs to go shopping at 5 am anyway! We are expecting a make-up car ride on Saturday. We have paws crossed there will be actual photos of something interesting to post soon.
Have a fun-filled weekend!

That is a very good drawing there!
Sorry to hear about the plumbing problems; hope your weekend gets better!...Enjoy the car ride and each other, beautiful friends...kisses...Calle, Halle, Sukki
We are betting that the two of you offered your help in so many ways! We know we would have been right in the middle of things (until we were invited to go outside and play, of course).
Hope everything is fixed up soon.
OH, that so does NOT sound like fun. We hope the drains behave until the plumber can come. Maybe a few extra Jack and Moo kisses are in order.

Oh, that's so not a fun way to end a holiday. :-( It looks like you two did a good job of supervising...we know you were there just to lend a paw if needed (right?!) Hope all worked out OK. I'm sure that car ride will be much more fun for all!
PS - great artist rendering of the "event!"
