Tuesday Tales
I'm doing squirrel patrol on my walks. Seems like lately those tree rats are out of control - dashing across the path in front of me, darting up & down trees, and chattering like lunatics! The nerve of these critters!
If woo biggify this & look closely, woo can even see the demon eyes on this one!
I see woooooooo!!!!
Dad is pretty busy, so the "final" bench won't be revealed fur a few days when he has time to finish it, but I will woo that I LOVE my new bench! (and I love my dad, too!)
The trees are really pretty along my walk. But it seems like efurry day more of the leaves are on the ground instead of on the trees!
More hugs from my mini biped friends! I just love stopping to say hi to them!

Monday Movie: My New Toy
First, a few more pictures of the mystery object my dad was building. It's not quite done, but you can probably guess what it is now!
Testing!
Tired dad!
It was getting dark, and dad's friends had to go back in the toolbox for the night. Mom & dad brought it around back. Its MY NEW BENCH!
Mom came outside with her coffee and sat on it while we watched the sun set - it was beawootiful!
Later she found me curled up in a little husky ball on my new bench - it's just right! A few more boards and it will be done!

Friday Fotos: Friends
After Wednesday's post, I thought I better show woo that I DO have friends here. Meet a few of my mini-biped friends! They wait fur me every day at the park, and when mom & I walk by, they all come running up, shouting "Jack! Jack!" Then they throw their arms around me & hug me & pet me and ask how I've been. It just makes me all warm & fuzzy on the inside, as well as on the outside!
So as woo can see, I'm not all that lonely after all.
It was furry nice out yesterday, and we walked all around the neighborhood, taking ictures of the pretty trees and Halloween decorations. And look what I foud at the house where Moon used to live--
I think one of Moon's boys' friends is going to get to make this little pumpkin into a Jack-o-lantern. I wonder if it will look like me?

Hello, Mr. Pumpkin!
Pumpkins smell sooooo good!
We have a special guest in our backyard right now too. I think he's related to Adrill (he visits some of my sibe furiends).
His name is Asaw. He & dad have been having some furry lively discussions. I'll post about him tomorrow!

Monday Movies: Rhapsody in Zoom
Most efurrybody has heard Gershwin's famous song, Rhapsody in Blue. Well, he also wrote this less well-known variation on that tune that was obviously inspired by playing with his dog. Don't woo agree?

Happy 234th Birthday!
Happy 234th Birthday
to the US Navy!
(founded October 13, 1775)
Every year Naval Station Newport holds a Navy Ball to celebrate the birth of our country's Navy. My peeps like to go to this, but Siberians, even well-dressed ones, are not allowed to attend. Mom says its furry cool - after the dinner they call up the youngest sailor in attendance and the oldest, and together, they cut a gigantic khake with a sword! This year's youngest was 17, a young lady from NAPS (Naval Academy Preparatory School) and the honor for the oldest was shared by two gentlemen who served since 1940 & 1942!
Efurryone eats fancy hors'derves, steak and chicken and cheesecake, and then gets up to dance away the calories!
Mom & Dad get all dressed up for these things, but look - Dad's in black & white, just like me. I could have gone to the dance dressed just like I am, if they'd let Siberians in! Anyways, the ball was Friday night, here's a glimpse of my fancy-dancy peeps:
Mom sat next to a furry special table - According to the tradition, a small table is set with one empty place to remind us of our Naval brothers & sisters who are being held captive or missing in action, and cannot be here with us to raise their glass for a toast, or share this birthday meal. The red rose represents the love and ongoing support of their families, the lemon wedge represents the bitterness of being a prisoner of war, and the yellow ribbon represents hope for their safe return. Mom says we should always remember them in our prayers ( or pawrayers, if woo prefer).
I spent the evening hanging out in the yard, sniffin the air for clues about life on the other side of the fence. They stayed out late, and when they let me in the house, I was so tired, I curled up on my landing and went right to sleep!

Friday Foto
Today's Friday fotos are of me up on the landing, one of my favorite places to hang out. I've been kinda hiding out, cause my ear is hurting and the bipeds are torturing me every day with drops and ear washes. Maybe they won't notice I'm here?
I am feeling a little better this morning, at least right now. mom took this picture & laughed, she said my eyes are glowing just like in her painting of Rosie pup. Whatever.
We have all-day rain... again. Some pups are lucky enough to have snow already- I hope they send some my way! A-wooooooo-oooooooo!

Monday Movie: A Memorial
A-roos to yous all,
Mom finally finished a little video tribute to Star, and let me tell woo, she musta gone through a box and a half of tissues while she went through old pictures. Good think I stayed close by for hugs, what in the world would she do without me here?
I'm going to let mom blog a few words...
Thank you everyone for the messages you left, we are deeply touched.
And I'm wooing a thank woo to Mr. Phred! The flowers are beawootiful, and Mom put the stones and shells Star & I found on our last beach walk into the vase:

It was one of those "happy-sad" times, looking at almost 13 years of photos of Star as she shared life with 2 boys, 3 feline + 3 canine companions, and us. I would love to have included them all! Bear in mind that she hated having her picture taken - she'd turn around or look away, but a few times, she seemed to "strike a pose", and stare at me, as if to say "Better get that camera out & click fast, cause I'm not going to sit here like this for long!" So, here are a few of the best ones that reflect her gracious character, striking beauty, and, her silly side. We miss her terribly, but we are so grateful for the blessing of having her in our lives for so many years. She will shine in our hearts forever.
And I'm wooing a thank woo to Mr. Phred! The flowers are beawootiful, and Mom put the stones and shells Star & I found on our last beach walk into the vase:

Sunday Supper Suggestion
Don't woo think its a good day to grill some tasty steaks? Not that I want any myself, of course. Its just a suggestion. You deserve to have some steak. Nice big thick juicy done-just-right steak? With a little bit of fat along the edge that needs to be cut off, cause you wouldn't want to eat that part. Maybe just toss it here, in front of me, on the ground, ok? Doesn't that sound like a good idea?
a-roos to yous,
Jack a-roo, ever hopeful

monday Movie: Hop, Skip & a JUMP!
A-roos to yous,
Todays Monday Movie is way cool - my boxer cousins mama took this on her cell phone and sent it to us. If you listen closely, you can hear the man say this is a rescue horse- what a great new life as one of the stars of the show! Mom says she saw the Lippizans perform when she was a young girl, and they were magnificent! (A real treat, she read all Margrite Henry's horse books & loved her stores about the training of these horses) We're furry glad they are continuing this beawootiful tradition! Here's another pic of the Cabriole:
It was furry exciting here last night - I was standing at the back screen door and started barking my head off - the was a SKUNK walking through MY yard!!! It was about 20 feet from me, and had his tail UP. Fortunately, nothing bad happened. I must say, his tail was efurry bit as fluffy as MFT's!
Oh - just to set the record straight, I guess it was hard to tell. but the Sat. dance pictures were all of Khyra! I do dance, but mom doesn't have any pics of me doing my moves yet. Maybe if she'd have let me out I would have danced around that skunk last night, right before introducing him to Mr. Fangs!
Hope your week is starting out
on the right footy-foot!

And these two pictures are just for woo, Ammy - seeeeeeee - there WERE mooses!
Good thing I had my moose blankie after all!

You got the better of me
Just snap your fingers and I'm walking
Like a dog hanging on your lead
I'm in a spin you know
Shaking on string you know
You make me feel like dancing -
I'm gonna dance the night away
You make me feel like dancing -
I'm gonna dance the night away
You make feel like dancing -
I feel like dancing, woo! dancing, woo!
dance the night away!
I feel like dancing, woo! dancing, woo!
Ahhh-a-a-aaaah-a-aaaahhhh!!!
Time to catch a breath!
