Bill Waves as He Goes By

Mom & dad took us to the beach yesterday cause some guy named Bill was supposed to give us a big wave as he went up the coast. Jack, having been appointed Knight of the New England Coast by King Skyboy, felt it was his duty to go wave back. When we got there, lots & lots of other people turned out to wave back as Bill waved by! There were all sorts of cool things going on. Sand sculptures, surfers, and kids that love dogs. Yup, it was festive.

Oh my gosh - WATCH OUT DAD!!! IT"S A LANDSHARK!!!!!!!

This kid knows a landshark can't catch you if you SKIP real fast!

About 5 minutes later, Bill waved extra hard and took care of that land-shark , no problemo!


For a comparison of the waves, here we are with dad in just about the same spot on the beach. The first one was in April, the second one was yesterday.



Bill is a good waver, and we had fun waving our fluffy tails back.

Friday Fotos: Fence Friends

Here I am watching the neighborhood. I like to do that. Mom let me out late last night, and I stood by the fence, just watching, for a long time. Mom came out & looked thru the fence too. It was dark out so she had to look for awhile to see what I saw that was so interesting. Then she took my collar & quietly said, "Uh-oh, come on Jack, you're coming back inside NOW!"

One of these walked right in front of us the other night on our evening walk. I don't know what Mom has against them, she gets really nervous every time she sees one! I mean, how bad can they be? They're black & white, just like me, but they don't have big Mr. Fangs like I do or anything. They're furry tiny, really. I just want to be friendly, don't know if I'll ever get a chance to say hello to one of these little guys up close & personal. It's a mystery to me.

Waiting

We're just kinda hangin' around waiting...

Not much going on, which, to tell you the truth, is ok with us. We've both been a little under the weather all week.
Mom already had a vet appt. for me for my shots today, but you wouldn't believe what else they did to me! It was embarrassing! I behaved really well and impressed them. They all said what a handsome guy I am, and so sweet, too. So how come they had to stick me with those needles? Give a guy a break!

Mom gave me a furry nice blob of pb when I got home, it was extra-extra-crunchy. Star snickered and said there was probably more than just pb, but I don't care. I love pb! I also heard her say that if Star isn't better by Monday, she's gonna take her to the v-e-t too. we'll see who snickers then!


Hmm, I think we need to consult Dr. Steve! He always gives good prescriptions.

Paws crossed for a safe journey to Pawsylvania. Looks like they'll be in Horsham, still a couple hours away from Khyra, but I'll bet we could woo mom into making 2 stops when we go visit in our Siberian Outback!

Moon Moves

Ha-roos to yous again,
Yup, woo pups were right. Moon is moving. He's moving to Pawsylvania tomorrow. I'm really sad about my best buddy moving away.

Sunset Sunday

Sunday is a good day to watch a beawootiful sunset...

We think the sunset was extra beawootiful because Charlie's spirit added so much light to the Rainbow Bridge, it spilled over for us to see.

Darn, we woo'd to mom to do a "Christmas in July" post, and I guess she missed it by a couple hours....but here's a reminder that it won't be muggy & rainy forever.... in just a few short months, (paws-crossed), we'll be doing a samba in the snow...sibe style!

Remember this photo?

Some of woo asked what's in the hole. The answer is this: Nothing yet, really. Star made basins for mud puddles. Star's plan worked brilliantly. After a few days of rain, she had two lovely puddles of mud for lounging in.



Which leads to this:

Muddy fur! Does she care? Nope, she'd be just as happy if the darn meddling bipeds left her alone outside. Biped mom wasn't so thrilled, so Star got hosed off before she was allowed back in the house. (She's staying on the grass now)



Me? I prefer to find a dry spot and make myself useful - doing something like holding up the fence. I do it because I care.

We're furry sorry, but there won't be a Monday Movie this week - mom forgot & now she says she's "too busy". Maybe there'll be one in a day or two, so keep the pupcorn in an airtight container so it stays fresh, and see woo on the blog screen again soon!

Saturday solidarity

On Friday, many dogs donned shirts to show solidarity with the OP Pack's Phantom. Our humans were at the human vet hosp all day long, but today I am posing in a shirt to show my solidarity for Phantom and Meeka (Echo's brother), two of my bloggin buddies who are going thru some tough times right now. Mom tried to get Star to pose, but she wouldn't look at the camera (Stormy would be so proud). Star says she earned this shirt by doing the Husky Hike for adopt-a-husky in OH, so its up to me to wear it.

Thanks for all your sibe-vibes & pawrayers for our dad, he's home & already feels better (maybe its those little pills he's taking?) When dad came home, mom said "OK, you huskies are in charge of keeping dad safe, make sure he doesn't get up & walk anywhere", so here's more adventures of...

"Last night, the brave and good Guard Dog stayed up all night with his trusty Wubba at his side, gurarding the yard from danger...."


Working around the clock, he then took up his post as bed-guard, making sure the prisoner.. er, patient... doesn't escape. He calls for an extra guard to cover all the escape routes.
