Monday's View from the Moo: Teasing Siblings

Ha-woo everyone,

It's time for some fun on this weeks view from the Moo!
I love to tease my big brofur Jack.
Its so easy to push his buttons...
....It's all in fun, of course.

Hey Jack, Mom just handed out treats fur us!
Do woo know where yours is?
I'll give woo a hint:
psst: its in my tummy!
Arrggghhhh! Woo know what this means!!!
I'm gonna go tell Mom!
(I know she didn't get any treats, but...
I'll go show mom my Sad Face....
...guess who'll get an extra treat now?)
***********************
Ha-woo, well, that didn't go quite as planned, but that's ok. We each did get a treat & I got to tease Jack - he'll get even by chasing me all over the yard.... which is what I had in mind in the first place --ha-roo roo roo! See, it all works out!

Monday's View from the Moo: Windmill Walk

Ha-woo everybody!
Time fur this week's View from the Moo! Here's a recap of our Sunday walk at the windmill.

First we pulled mom over to the pond so we could see what our friends
the Quackers were up to. I think they were glad to see us again.

Next, we checked out the little waterfall and then went over the bridge.

Then we headed over to the windmill...
...and we posed... a lot.
Mom took a whole bunch of pictures, like this one wasn't enough!
I let her know it was time to knock it off!
Enough already, Mom!
She ignored me and said "Oh please, just one more!"
So we did this just to keep her happy...
Guess it worked, cause she walked us around some more.
Lastly, we were surprised to see there were still pretty flowers
blooming in the garden... but its mid-December!
Maybe I should tell them to knock it off... it's time fur some snow!!!

And that's this week's View from the Moo...

Monday's view from the Moo: wake up & smell the ham!

Good Moo-rning! Todays View from the Moo is dedicated to our
kitty furiend Huffle Mawson, from down under.
Huffle's favorite food is ham.
And I smell ham in the kitchen today!

What do woo think, Jack? Is Huffle coming to visit?

I dunno, Mom won't let me have any kitty furiends…
something about "prey drive"…
Aw heck, Jack. Guess we'll just have to pretend…

Huffle, would woo like to stay for some ham?
And that's today's View from the Moo brought to woo by ham in the kitchen!

Monday's View from the Moo

It's Monday morning again, furiends! Did woo have a nice weekend? We did! Today's View from the Moo is short & sweet - just a few light-hearted moments of Siberian-Smack-down.

We love to entertain each other!

Mom took Jack & I over to another island to have a look around. We parked by this inlet, there are some scuba divers on the far side.

This is from the inlet looking towards our island in the distance.
The rocks were fun to climb on.

Jack & I, checking things out.

I put my Moo-paws on the wall for a better look at the bay.
On the way back to the car we passed a man walking a large bulldog. That pup was trying as hard as he could to drag his owner over (we hope it was to say "hi"), and he barked & barked, but we stayed calm and strolled right on by. Mom was furry proud of us. We got a treat when we jumped back into our Siberian Outback. Mom said something about "Sibes are so cool", but we already know that!

Next, mom took us to another part of the island with a lighthouse on it. But I think I'll let Jack tell woo more about that part of our trip later this week.

And that's today's view from the Moo.
Have a good week, friends!

Monday's View from the Moo

I was alerted by MFT (aka: Khyra) a while back about a new product on the market. I think I should be their spokesdog, as I am the perfect candidate for a product called TruMoo. after all, I am the one & only tru Moo. In preparations for my new career, I am practicing my serious face. If woo want to be taken seriously, woo have to look the part.
Take it from a tru Moo: "Its good stuff. Buy it."

Mom was pleased to see that it came in coffee flavor. After taking my promo photo, she tasted it and said "Yum!". So there ya go. Go get some and tell them "A tru Moo sent woo".

And that's todays View from the Moo.

Monday's View from the Moo

Woo-wooo everybody! We have a special edition of the View from the Moo today. Are woo ready for the tour of the Gilbert Stuart Museum to continue?
Gilbert's mother told him he was born in this room. (walls have been left exposed to show construction method). See that wonderful doggy painting? Gilbert did that when he was 14 years old to thank a doctor for saving his life when he was a boy.

This fireplace is in the master bedroom. The docent says probably the entire family slept in one room in the winter to keep warm. There is a trundle bed underneath the main bed, which was found boarded up in the attic.
Another corner of the master bedroom - Stuart painted many presidents & their wives. The "unfinished" portrait is First Lady Martha Washington.
This is the dining area in the formal great room. This room was used for business rather than family life. The family's daily activities took place on the lower level.
This great room fireplace has an interesting invention: a Colonial "microwave". Plates of food were bought up from the downstairs kitchen an placed inside the metal box. The door was closed & it was kept in front of the fire to stay warm till people were ready to eat.
The lower level was the "business" level - can woo guess what this is?
This is the snuff mill. Gilbert's dad ground snuff here, right in their main living space. The air was probably full of snuff dust all the time. Gilbert was addicted to it, and its no wonder, after spending his first 6 years breathing it every day!

The kitchen prep area is on the otherside of the room - remember whenRI had those historic floods this past spring? (highest floods in 100 years) The Museum flooded, and the water and silt filled this room up to the level of the windows! They've worked very hard to clean it up!
This is the spinning corner. Colonial women had a tremendous amount of work to do to keep the family clothed and fed. The yarns on the back wall have been dyed with local vegetation. They used ground up beetles for the red color!
The family would probably have found having a pack of Siberians very helpful - just think of all the fluff we generate for spinning yarn for nice warm winter clothing! (Just sayin'.)

Yesterday JackDaddy asked us where the museum is - I guess we forgot to say-- its in Saunderstown RI. Here is their website. If woo are ever around, it really is an interesting place to see. And if woo ever ARE around, give us a woo, we're just up the road, er, I mean across the bay.

And that's today's View from the Moo, hope woo enjoyed your tour!

Toodle-woo,
Miss Moo
