Monday's View from the Moo: Pretty Weekend Woos!

Ha-woo everyone!

It was super-nice outside this weekend, and Mom took us for rides and a walk at the Windmill Park.  We haven't been there for ages!  Lucky us, we had the whole place to ourselves!

Mom said it was one of those magical times when we put up with her camera clicking-obsession
and cooperated.     Yeah, whatever.... we were just enjoying ourselves!

Here we are in the pumpkin patch.... these pumpkins are starting to turn orange!

Here I am coming out of the pumpkin patch...

Next, we posed by the bean plants...

And of course mom had to loop our leashes at the windmill
so she could get a few "good shots"  (ie: not our backsides!)

She said we were even cute not paying attention...
and I think we'll save those to post later this week!
OK, Mom, just one more.... how's this?
....and that's this week's View from the Moo.
We hope woo had just as nice a weekend as we did.

Monday's view from the Moo: Local color

Ha-woo everyone!

It's me, Miss Moo, with this week's view from my nice sunny deck.

Mother Nature does a nice job keeping plants growing in the pots on the deck and
around the yard.  I love looking at the marigolds...

and these pretty flowers, they are some kind of dahlias:

a few weks ago I could see the Asian lilies next to my deck:

I saw this colorful Devil's Riot Iris

and my favorite Blue Siberian Irises

plus mom added a pretty magenta iris this year:

I can see mon's favorites, blue hydrangeas.
Theyre fading to a lovely purple now.

On Sunday, I watched Mom plant a succulent garden in a pot.
(She says she doesn't have a very green thumb but maybe she can
keep these succulents alive inside this winter.
I think she only has a green thumb when she's painting with green paint, ha-roo roo roo!)

My favorite is this other cactus that has a really pretty flower on it:

As woo can see, I have lots of pretty colors to look right in my own backyard,
and that makes me a mighty happy Moo!

...and that's this week's view,
Toodle-woo!

Monday's View from the Moo

Ha-woo dear friends,

We have gone on a few good walkies since Jack's hot-spot issue is clearing.   The weather has cooled off a bit here, which we are very much enjoying.

Check out who else was out for a walk in Newport:

Ha-roo!   I wonder what breed this little cutie is?

From the look on shaggy-boy's face, I think he's wondering, too

That wasn't the only mystery we've seen in Newport.
Sunday we went walking aroundthe famous "Newport Mystery Tower"
see it in the background?
there's a lot of theories about who built it and what it was used for, but no one knows for sure.
Then Mom walked by a man talking to people about the Tower,
and he said  "the Ididarod has come to Newport!"
Mom saw him go into a little museum across the street.

The man at the Newport Tower Museum invited all of us in
(He wants dogs to be as well-informed as people!)
and told mom all about his research.
(Woo can read about it on his website )

Moo, do woo really think that stack of rocks is a celestial calendar and clock,
and a camera-obscura like the man in the Museum said?

"Well Jack, I don't know, but its an awfully cool stack of rocks!"
And that's this week's View from the Moo,

Fluffy?

Good Moo-rning everyone,
It's Me, Miss Moo, with this week''s View from the Moo.

Mom's working on a new painting.  She's using an awful lot of pink, and she keeps saying it has to look fluffy.    Well of course, I though I was the subject.   I mean, who else has fluff like I do, and has a cute pink tongue?

Harumph.....
just look at this.....
It's definitly NOT me.

But I still think it should be.   Don't Woo?

And that's this week's View from the Moo,
Adieu!

Happy Dad-a-Roo Day!

We wish all the Dads, Step-dads, surrogate Dads, and Father-Figures a furry happy Dad Day!

Being a "Dad" is more than just fathering a child.
It takes being the leader of the pack.

It takes the skill to provide direction and dicipline, with love.
It takes the ability to forgive and start over.

It takes the kind of patience and tolerance that comes with knowing
that everything changes with time and love.

It takes a generous heart and a listening ear to give advice without sounding like it.

It takes the willingness to be both strong and vulnerable, to know when to step up,
when to step back,  and when to let go, without strings attached.

It takes an open willingess to share your experience, strength, and hope,

Our Dad is that kind of man, and we love him,  furever.

Love,
your furkids,

The View from the Moo: Tuesday Edition

Good mmoo-rning everyone!
I guess today would be a good day to recap the events over the past couple weeks.

Firstly, Mom & Dad went to Hawaii and left us at Colonial Kennel Bed & Breakfast, my home kennel. I am always sooooo happy to see my furiends & family there!   They love Jack, too, and we get a nice cozy kennel-for-two while we're there.

Our stay always concludes with a spa-grooming, so we look super cute for our pawrents.  See:

It also happens that this time, mom & Dad picked me up on a furry special day -
MY BIRTHDAY!!!
They greeted us in typical Hawaiin fashion, with flower leis-
We were so good, we didn't even try to eat them!

the Moo is lookin' good while turning 8!

we got some really good yummy treats.

Since then, its been "back to normal"

The other big events were that MY birthday is also our oldest boy's Birthday, too.   Mom got this photo in her email with our younger boy.   I guess they aren't "boyz" anymore, but woo know what I mean!
Happy Birthday Dan!

WE missed one big event - while Mom & Dad were in Hawaii, they celebrated
their 17th Anniversary Hawaiin style - at a Luau!
They learned how to make Hawaiin crowns - don't they look adorable?    Ha-woo woo woo!

On Sunday, mom loaded us into the car for a long ride - and we met some of our favorite bloggers- Wild Dingo Woman & Mr. Wild Dingo!
did woo see the picture I posted yesterday?  Be sure to check them out!

As woo can see, its been a furry busy time at Maison Moo et Jacques!

And that's this week's View from the Moo

Wild Dingo Encounter!

Hot dog!    We've had a wonderful afternoon and meeting up with some of our bloggin buddies and  hiking Purgatory Chasm Park.
Wowzers, look at this--- me with Juno's Mama!
I gave her lots of kisses, and she tasted good!

And here's Jack with her too!

And let me woo that Juno's DingoDadddy sure know how to rub ears just the right way!!!

We also got to meet Norbert- and he is one wild & crazy fella!  I had a blast following him through lots of mud puddles on the trail, and he showed the humans the trail in the woods when they were confused.    Ata boy!

(Jack was a little jealous cause Norbert got to run off-lead.)

Here is a typical "tail view" pic from Mom's side of the camera....
but the a "face first" pic Julie  is taking is posted on fb!

The rocks were realy cool to climb on...
We hiked up the trail, but Norbet jumped up in one big leap!
After a minute of fussing around to get everyone "ready"....

We all looked forward and said "CheesePlease" for the cameras!

Mom loved how Norbert's coat gave him great camoflage against the rocks.

We hit the end of a trail at a little pond, some waterfalls, and a cave

Well, dhat shoud we do?  go fur a swim, like Norbert did?
Uh, I don't  think so, Jack....mud is one thing, but water???
I think I'd like to go check out that little dog over there, just to see if she's tasty.... I mean, friendly.

After some soothing words & encouragement from Juno & loki's mom (while I watched),
Jack decided not to have a yappitizer break.
And with that, we hiked back.  A nice park employeed took pics of all of us, (we swiped this one from Norbert's peeps)....
The Purgatory Chasm Pack

...and then we snoozed all the way home.....
Nighty-night!
