Monday's View from the Moo

Good morning! Welcome to Monday's View from the Moo!
There was an airshow this weekend across the Bay, so Jack & I hung around inside while all the jets were zooming and booming.
I guess the coast is clear to come outside again now.

It's been pretty uneventful lately. Mom's computer died. So she & dad spent all weekend cutting hedges. We got 2 walks around the neighborhood. And that's about it.

Hey Jack, got anything to add?

Ha-woo everyone! I just wanna say that the weekend wasn't that boring..... mom gave us WATEMELON to eat right here on the new deck! Yummy!!!

Oh yeah, I furgot that part. Thanks, Jack.
We do have a few more pictures to post, but mom says not till she gets her own computer back. Then she can do all that stuff to the photos so all our furiends (that's woo) can see us at our best. And that, dear furiends, completes today's View from the Moo,

Toodle-woo!

Friday Fotos!

Ha-roo everyone! Seems like a long time since we blogged, but the pawrents have been busy, or so they claim. Our guests have gone, but we're hoping they come back again soon - they are both big time animal lovers & give real good skritches! We liked relaxing on the new deck with them.

Skritchies fur Jack

Sweetie Moo kissies
Oh yeah, life is good!
Take time to have some fun with your friends this weekend, too!

Monday's View from the Moo

Good Moo-ing everyone! Time once again for the View from the Moo, featuring me, Miss Moo! The pawrents have some guests visiting - they're super-nice and give one heck of an ear rub! But they're all out doing exciting things and leaving Jack & I home with instructions to "guard" the house.
Yeah, right. Guard it from what, an alien invasion???
Whatever.
But woo know how Jack takes his assignments seriously, so, he's keeping a close eye on things….between naps, ha-roo roo roo!
Mom promises she'll get something interesting here on our blog pretty soon.
Yeah…. whatever.

And that's today's View from the Moo,

Toodle-woo,

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Mom wanted to get a nice pic of us with our doggy daddy enjoying morning tea on the new deck, but you know how it goes with trying to pose:

First, dad held the treats.
Hmmm, not quite what mom had in mind...
Then Mom held the treats…. Hey, come on, look here & smile, guys!
Mom thought maybe tossing the treat in the air would get us to look up…
except that Dad let go, and…
Guess that will have to do.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, DADS!
Have a great day!

We LOVE hanging around on the new deck - its a great lace to nap and play. And mom says "No more muddy paws!" (Hmmm, better wait & see about that part, mom… ha-roo roo roo!)
Thanks, Dad!

It's finally Friday - hope woo have a woo-nderful weekend!

Soft & white, clean and bright!

Now don't go adjusting the brightness control on your computer, its just us, radiating all that sparkling and dazzlingly clean brightness!

Yup, we had a spa day, visiting my friends and family at my home kennel.* I had a lot of fun kissing everyone and talking to them about all my adventures! See the pretty bow they put on me after my bubble bath?
And just look at this dapper fella! Mom says she hardly recognized him when he came out - his white parts looked soooo sparkling WHITE! He got a boy bow after his bath, but
check this out….
This is Jack's NEW collar! Could anything be more perfect for a pengie-loving dude?
Mom had it custom made fur him by Cody's Creations
and now that he is clean, he gets to wear it!
(Mom will get a pic & make it tomorrow's post!)

hope your day is bright and sparkling too.

Monday's View from the Moo

Hawoo everyone. Time for the View from the Moo! Here is Moo (that's me) and Jack taking a hard look at dad's progress on the new deck.
Asking the right questions is one of the most important steps in snoopervising: "Hey dad, are woo sure this thing's level?"
Yup, those little bubbles are right in the center of the tubes!
Seeing those bubbles made dad furry happy!
Yesterday when mom was sitting on the old deck and dad was sitting on the new deck, I leaped from where dad is in the pic up to where mom took the pics from - I cleared it with room to spare! (I jumped the 7' across & almost 2 feet higher!) Then, just because I can, I jumped straight up to the deck from standing in the gravel. Mom said it looked like I willed myself higher & higher to make it! This new deck's been lost of fun to play with.

Hope woo are having fun on today, too.
And that's this week's View from the Moo,

Saturday stuff

Well, dad & I are still busy with guy stuff. You know, hammers, saws, wood, nails, and snoopervising. By now woo can tell what the project is all about...
Feetie feets!

There's a new wooden deck going in over top of the "big muddy", as mom calls it. Now during the winter spring summer fall rainy season, (we get a lot of rain here), our feetie feets will stay nice and dry when we go in & out & in & out.
No more muddy paws….

What? I have green paws?
That's cause I snoopervised mom cutting the grass!
A Siberian Snoopervisor's work is never done, ha-roo roo-roo!

Hope your weekend is full of fun projects tooo!

A-roos to yous,
Jack a-roo

PS: got a second to take our poll? Its right under our header.

Wednesday woos: whew!

Two of mom & dad's friends were over fur dinner and mom tried to get a pic of all of us. Moo didn't cooperate. She walked off before mom could snap a pic.
I am a very good boy, I held still & smiled.
Don't I look angelic?
I guess Moo just wanted her own pic without me in it.
Sisfurs, sheesh!
Now, about our yard…. wanna see what dad's been up to?
Last load…. whew! He moved almost 5000 pounds of gravel!
Our dad really rocks!
A-roos to yous,

Monday's View from the Moo: Progress Report

Good Moorning everyone! Can woo believe its time for Monday's View from the Moo already?
Jack & I spent a lot fo time snoopervising out in our yard again. Jack says this pic should be called "3 Huskies Resting", cause Dad is holding his Husky tape and obviously none of us is doing any work here, ha-roo roo roo!
Now dad is resting while Jack & I inspect his progress. He does good work, no problems passing our inspection!
Moving into the other non-husky half of the yard, here's some pics from Mom's project: the new garden island. Here's a long view:
And an end-view: (the littlw white flowers in front are called "Snow in Summer". Mom said she had to get that for us.
And here's a close-up of her new dahlia. Is't it gorgeous?
And this one is a Shirley Temple peony. There are not only pretty, but they smell really good too! there's 2 big blooms opening up.
We'll keep reporting on the yard, things sure are changing quickly! And that's today's view from the Moo!

Friday Fotos

Mom used to call Star and Sherman her
dig-a-dug dogs
because of their superior excavation talents.
But Dad brought home a friend of A.Saw's
named "Ground Hog" that turned him into our
dig-a-dug dad!
He started drilling in the front yard, then moved back into our yard.
Mom made us stay inside and out of the way.
A couple days later, we saw what he was up to
out front: He put up this cool archway!
He finished it on Memorial Day:
Mom planted clematis on either side, we'll take a photo when it blooms.
Want to see what he dig to our yard?
Lets go inspect:
Woosers, what a mess!
I snootered around under all these boards &
discovered that dad drilled holes all over our yard!
He took the steps off the deck too. Good thing we can jump high
or we'd have to exclude the deck from our zoomie chases.
Mom promises to add more photos as dad's secret project evolves.

Oh - one last photo- Mom was sooooo excited-
her new Siberian Iris bloomed.
Some of the plants in her new garden are blooming too - today looks like a sunny day, perfect for a few more photos for our next post.

A-roos to yous, & toodle-woo,
Jack a-roo & Miss Moo

PS: I'm feeling much better now that my hurty toofer is gone. Thanks fur all your well-wishes!

The View from the Moo: Moomorial Day

We wish everyone a Happy Memorial Day!
We remember our wonderful
men, women, and canines
serving in our military, past and present.
We're furry grateful for your service.

We salute woo!
And I declare this as "Moomorial Day", too. I'd like to thank everyone for their good vibes & wishes for me during my little toofer-adventure. I'm feeling back to normal, I even dragged Jack around in the yard, just for the fun of it! All kidding aside, he really is a great brofur, and was furry caring & protective when I was feeling under the weather. What a guy!

The peeps have been busy. They moved a whole lotta stones out of the ground in our play area to a big circle by the trees, and then mom put lots and lots of dirt in the circle. Dad's been digging and taking dirt out of a whole lot of holes in the ground. Weird, huh? The peeps say it will all make sense. In the meanwhile, we're not allowed to do zoomies thru the holey part of the yard. *sigh* humans can be soooo confusing! and that's today's View from the Moo!

Have a good Moomorial Day, everyone! Remember to share your cook-out with your bestest canine pals!

………….PART TWO…………..
We almost furgot - today is Sarge's
PEEPS ON PARADE!
We'll tell woo a bit about our peeps-
Dad loves numbers. He thinks about them ALL the time. He even teaches numbers & math to new Naval cadets who will soon be heading off to the Naval Academy just as soon as he teaches them about some really cool advanced number stuff like calculus during their preparatory school. When he's not teaching, he plays Sodoku, and he is really really good at it. He also likes to build stuff and that requires using a lot of numbers too. Pretty much, if there are numbers involved, Dad (whose people name is Joseph) likes it.

Dad also gives good hugs. Jack loves ear skritches & hugs from dad.
Now Moo knows how to work the camera while she gets her hugs.
About our other peep, Mom….
Mom is an artist and draws lots of different stuff for a living. When she has time, she likes to draw & paint other things, like animals, too. She's usually chained to the computer and tablet, but we pry her loose once a day fur a walk, plus we let her out to cook meals and drive us around & things like that. We keep her busy so she doesn't wander off & get into trouble.

Mom loves to take pictures of us, but that means she isn't actually in many pictures with us. Since its Memorial Day, she thought it would be nice to tell woo about her special Memorial Day 2 years ago. At Battleship Cove, in Ma., they have a PT boat museum. The PT boats were made of wood and used during & after WWII, now only a hand full still survive. Mom's Dad was a Motor Machinist (engine mechanic) on a PT Boat, and when he passed away many years ago, he donated all his photos & memorabilia to the newly founded PT Boat Museum- but that was before they documented the names of donors.
Today, people are not allowed up on the boats… unless you are either a former Navy PT Boat Sailor or the descendant of one. and as a furry special favor, she was allowed to raise the flag on a PT Boat on Memorial Day. The director had arranged a little ceremony, several retired Navy men stopped by too. They even played a recording of TAPS, and saluted, while she raised the flag in memory of her father, John N. It was furry touching, a LES moment fur sure.
Mom was finally able to get copies of her dad's service records, so that he is entered into the proper museum records in honor of his service as a crew member on the famous PT Boats.

Saturday : Moo's Holey Moley

Sometimes we working breeds are called upon to work long hours. That's just what I did yesterday. I worked as a snoopervisor and watchdog.

I snoopervised dad a s he dug a trench, moved rocks, preparing to add a nice new deck in our part of the yard. (or "anti-mud platform", as mom calls it)
Mom & Dad brought Moo home from the vets office late afternoon. She didn't look so good, but don't tell her I said that!I kept watch over her while she recovered inside….
…and outside. It was a long night. She cried for a while last night, mom gave her ice cubes and that seemed to help. Mom told me not to worry, but woo can't help but worry 'bout your sisfur.
She's much better today. She even leaped way off the ground when Mom was holding her food bowl! Just to explain, she had a slab fracture, and prat of it broke off exposing the inside of the tooth, which is why it had to come out. (Not to worry, Tank, just a slab fracture isn't so bad). The largest molar has 3 roots, it can't be pulled. They make a flap in the gum, cut into pieces & removed it in sections. Then they stitch the gum back over the whole thing.
I think Moo will be feeling much better now that they fixed the holey in her moley. And I'm much better now that my sisfur is home!

A-roos to yous,
jack a-roo
