Oops, I ate it.
"when accepting this award you must blog about the food you have stolen when your humans weren't watching. If you have never stolen any food, you must be a very good pup or kitty. You can accept this yummy tray of cookies as your reward!!! Next add the logo of this award to your blog (optional), then nominate 5 other blogs...blah blah blah"
Well, technically, what I stole and ate wasn't human food, and the human food I stole I didn't get to eat, so I guess I get to keep the award.
Here goes my story:
Now woo know I'm a furry respectable & stately husky, but that was not always true. A couple of weeks after I chose my furever family, it was my boy's birthday. I was only a few weeks old, and the pretty decorations looked so tempting. I helped myself to a bright red flat stretchy thing that looked particularly tasty. My new mom came in and said "Where did that red balloon go?" and then freaked out when she realized I must have eaten it. She scooped me up, ran to the phone, and called the v-e-t. He actually laughed (I told her it was no big deal). I thought I was in the clear, but no, he told her how to make me barf it up. It was puppy torture! She poured salt on the back of my tongue, eeow - yuck! My poor puppy tummy didn't like that at all! But it worked, out came the balloon. Being a smart young whip, I never ate non-food items again.
I did try to steal a fish off the counter when we moved to our home here, but mom heard the "thwack!" when it hit the floor, and she rescued it before I got a chance to chow down. Oh well. I did it mostly for fun, really. Woo know, girls just want to have fun, right?

Me as a pup about the time I ate the red balloon.
Tomorrow Jack can tell woo all about his food-stealing antics.
We'll nominate this award to any other pup or kitty who hasn't gotten it yet. Let us know so we can go howl at your story!
