We have a plan....

Woos & a-rooos,
Jack has gotten himself a good lawyer, Meeshka, Attorney-at-Claw, to aid in defending him against the human's accusations that HE is responsible for the de-stuffing of 2 penguins, a fox, and a puppy. I'm not going to let them through him in the slammer while there is the slightest possibility the rumors are true - that this was done by an evil squirrel.
We needed a plan to deter the squirrel attacks, & maybe even trap the evil squirrel that keeps ripping the stuffing our of poor Jack's toys. We had rain rain and more rain yesterday, and that gave me an idea.
Remember when the Ao4 were putting in a moat? I've decided to dig one all way around the fence line so the squirrels can't get into the yard. I set right to work on the plan while mom was out. She came home to two very muddy hard working canines. We tried to block her view by spreading a nice coat of mud on the patio doors, didn't want her seeing it till we were done, but when she exclaimed "Oh!" very loudly, we knew she was pleased with our work. She was concerned that we been working too hard, so she brought us inside for a nice snack & a nap. Isn't she the nicest mom?
In fact, we think she's planning a big turkey dinner for us tomorrow to celebrate our moat-digging efforts. Ha-roooooo!!!!

**Sad note**
Sadly, our friend Gracie, has crossed to the Rainbow Bridge. She was way too young, not quite four, when her life was cut short by a fungal infection. We send our sad woos to her family. When we say "Grace" tomorrow, we will be thinking of you, Gracie. Run free, sweetheart, run free. Here's a picture her mama made:

Monday Mystery: Who-Done-It?

Ha-roo every pup,
I love my puppy as much as I love my Peguin.

I love to poke his belly with my snooter to make him squeak, I love to swing him around & toss him in the air & catch him. I do that every night after supper. Mom has been wanting to catch me at it for a long time, and today she took pictures from inside the house just so I wouldn't stop when she came out with a camera. I love zooming with my puppy!

But something happened today. Miss Tattle-Tale had to go and call mom, "I think you better come out here & see this..."

And this is what she saw:

Now I'm getting blamed. I swear I don't know how it happened. Maybe it was those evil squirrels again.

More squirrel trouble!

We spotted this evil squirrel yesterday on our walk. We think they're planning something here soon, & this was a covert information gathering operation....

We'll have to keep a close eye on things, that squirrel was up to no good, I tell ya!

Veteran's Day

We salute all our veterans today, both biped & canine. Thank woo for your service. Humom & Dad both had lots of relatives who have served bravely. In fact, human dad was what they call "a Jarhead". (Not sure what that is, but it sounds like it has to do with food, yum!) He teaches new recruits at the Navy base now.

And a special prayer going out today for our friend Moon's dad, who was deployed to the Middle East in September. Thank you, Scott, and may God grant you a safe return!

Bless our troops, past present and future. We salute woo,

Woos & a-roos to yous!

Monday Moon Madness!

Woos & a-rooos!
My friend Moon came for a play date Monday! I got to walk down to his house to get him and bring him to my yard. We had a furry good time. If only Jack wasn't being so obnoxious, but I guess I shouldn't be too surprised - that's what puppyheads do. Mom managed to get a few pictures, we were all moving pretty fast!

Some live action followed by treats from Dad!

HUSKY-MATIC!

With the impending economic woes, we owe it to our bipeds to lend a helping paw. After a lot of consideration, I think I've come up with a product that humans will love -

Introducing the "HUSKY-MATIC SELF-CORRECTING HUSKY!
I'll demonstrate with a Jack-o-matic prototype:

1. The problem: (for humans, I'm not saying this is a problem)
You find tissue/stuffie suffing/or your favorite shoes shredded on the lawn.

2. No more worries about how to handle it- The product automatically goes into "Correction Mode":

"What is this? Who made this mess? Woo should know better than to shred stuff on the lawn! What were woo thinking? Now get out here & clean this up! And don't ever do this again, do woo hear me?"

3. Next, the product goes automatically into "Human Appeasement" mode:
"I'm sorry. I won't do it again, ever."
(Great idea, huh? The humans will love it. We'll make millions!)

Now the last step could potentially be a problem:

4. Then the humans clean it up themselves cause you can't make a husky do something a husky doesn't want to do.

Hmm, maybe we can find a perfectly obedient husky to clone the line from. All we need is one, just one....

Oh well, forget it. Whose stupid idea was that, anyway?
Back to the drawing board.

Exit polls from the debate

Woos & a-roos,
Star & Jack a-roo, with the latest Siberian Report...

We polled the crowd after THE DEBATE BETWEEN TUBEY, OUR CANINE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE AND THE DYSON ANIMAL. Here are a few exit comments:

Anonymous 1: That canine has more between the ears than all the past Presidents combined. I'm voting Tubey.
Anonymous 2: I was undecided, but now I'm voting a straight Siberian Ticket.
Anonymous 3: The Dyson sucked, Tubey wins.
Anonymous 4: Tubey is much cuter. I think I'll vote for him.
Anonymous 5: *Ah-choo!* I wanded da Dyson to win so I cud breathd better. *A-choo!*
Anonymous 6: Tubey is clearly the candidate with real vision. Woo could see right through the Dyson.
Anonymous 7: Tubey presented a very convincing argument for canines. He's got my vote.
Anonymous 8: I'd hate to think of a world without fluff. A cold, sterile world that would be. Tubey is my choice for President.
Anonymour 9: Very good questions. Ahhhh, I don't remember the answers, but I'm all for the cheese & bacon candidate. Which way to the livergreat?
Anonymous 10: Dysons are stupid. Vote for Tubey.

Well, there woo have it. 9 out of 10 say Vote for Tubey. 9 is way more than 1, they can't all be wrong, so vote for Tubey.

Our recommendation, based on the latest polling results...

Happy Howl-o-ween!

A-wooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Well, ya gotta giver her points for trying, it's the first time humom carves a- jack-o-lantern that isn't just triangles for eyes & nose and an crooked grin). She says this is supposed to be
a Howl-o-ween Jack-o-roo pumpkin.

Have fun tonight, everypup celebrating Howl-o-ween (2 & 4-legged)! Look both ways before woo cross the street, don't wear a mask that blocks your vision (ya gotta keep an eye out for spooky stuff) and don't hog the goodies - share them with the appropriate species. Remember, no chocolate for dogs - it's deadly! And no livergreat for kids - they don't like it, so, fellow canines, woo may as well eat it all yourself!

Iditarod dreams....

Woos & a-rooos,

We just love the new series on Discovery on the Iditarod. Even though we're urban huskies who've never been sledding, we can still dream! Last night mom snuck up on us with the camera. Jack was intently watching the screen till he heard something.... and moved his head just as mom took his pic. (another great move from the SZK School of Siberian Studies Photography Course. )

After Jack got off MY bed, I settled in & listened.... and got snoozzy... and dreamed of being on a team in the Iditarod too.... snow......running......snow........cold........snow.....

The letter game!

Woos & a-rooos,

The other day our friends at the Ao4 played a letter game. Ammy sent us the letter "S" so we could play too. So here are 10 things we love that start with the letter "S"...

In honor of the Ao4's recent baths, we'll begin with

1. Soap suds! Don't I look thrilled to be all sudsy? (not that baths are my favorite things, but this picture really captures my sense of disdain) This was the unfortunate aftermath of my encounter with another "S"....
Skunk! I go skunk hunting about once a year. Keeps me smellin purty, & impresses the heck out of every pup I meet.

2. Snuggles and snooter smooches! (Much nicer experience for the human to do with a non-skunky husky)

3. Surprises! We love those.

4. Snacks! We love snacks - especially Happy Hearts, the ones MayaMarie & Bella's mom bakes.

Here's a bunch of "s"s:
See Jack the Sibe Sit & Shake for a Snack? Ha-roo roo

5. After Snacks, we need a little Sleep, especially by the Stairs.

6. Squeeky stuffies, some of our very favorite "s" things!

7. In Summer, we like the Sun, Sand, and Sea Surf.

8. Then, every husky's favorite.... SNOW!
Here we have Siberian Siblings Star & Sherman playing husky Smack-down in the Snow (a whole string of s's!)

9. Sherman was my very favorite "S" friend. He was a superb specimen of Siberian splendor.
See Sherman's Snow nose? (Thanks, Ammy!)

10. And our last "S" is for the Secret Plans from HULA...
Shhhh, we're not tellin!

If anydog would like to play, just leave us a comment & we'll send woo a letter too.
