Where do you keep YOUR treats?

Woos & A-roos to yous,
I have a question fur woo....
Do woo know where your treats come from?
Sure, we all get them handed to us by our peeps.... or flipped, tossed, dropped..whatever.
I decided to track down just where my tasty treats come from...

I find tasty tid-bits outside in the grass sometimes....
maybe that's where mom & dad get them...

I looked all around outside the house: in my mole traps, in critter holes, under my doghouse, sniffed  between the deck boards.... no, not here.    I found a suspicious package in the recycle bin and took it outside to inspect it further, but it was just an empty box of peep treats....

Then mom & dad-a-roo brought all kinds of bags into the house.
I could smell those delicious treats....
just gotta figure out which bag....

Ha-wooo!   I think I struck paydirt!
Just as I was about to carry them off....

WHOOSH!
Mom swooped in and took them away!!!
Oh where, oh where have my tasty treats gone?

To find out, join us for our annual
SHOW US YOUR TREAT JAR EVENT
On October 27th!

(doesn't matter if its jars, bags, boxes, or "other")

The View from the Moo: Pumpkins!

Hello everyone,  it time for the View from the Moo!
Mom took us walking at the Windmill Park, I guess the geese
missed us cause they put up quite a racket!
And guess what we found!
A beawootiful pumpkin patch, right there in the flower bed!
Jack liked this one, it was a beawooty!
He was furry careful not to damage it, it must be
being saved for someone special.

There were beawootiful nasturtiums growing around the pumpkins, too.

I waited over by the fence, taking in the view.

The garden gate had these really cool beans growing
up over it.  Unusual, but it kind of "grows" on woo, ha-roo roo roo!

Well, I think woo can tell by my expression how much
I enjoyed our trip to the park!

 ....and that's this week's view from the Moo!

Monday's View From the Moo: Toofer Tale

Ha-woo everyone!  It's me, Miss Moo,
finally back with a View from the Moo!

The pawrents have ben awfully busy lately, so not m much posting going on...  I would have posted, but I wasn't feeling very well myself for several weeks.   Seems that I broke one of my toofers and I had to go to the VetDentist and have it taken out.  It was my pre-molar, with 3 roots, so it had to be cut out in pieces.  Can woo see my Poodle-paw?   Don't woo just hate when they do that???
At least I'm feeling MUCH better now.

I'm feeling well enough to go outside and help Mom & Dad trim the hedges in our play yard!   I'm helping mom rake & bag.    Jack came outside to help, too.    He likes to hang around dad & Mr. Trimmer.   Not too close when they're working, of course, but just to share guy-time.

"Nothing like a good day's work to make us working breeds feel satisfied!"

And, of course, the after-work petting and treats are nice, too!

Wooing about treats reminds me ...... its almost October, and will very soon be time again for our annual event.
"Show Us Your Treat Jar" Day will be October 27th.
New readers can read upon the link, but its a day when everypup & kitteh posts a picture of their Treat Jar (or bag or cupboard or box, however your pawrents stash your treats).  And, all bipeds are encouraged to take a box of treats to your local shelter, because every furkid deserves a treat.

We have a surprise for this year, and we'll tell woo more about it as we get a little closer, but do plan to pawticipate!     And that's this week's View from the Moo...

Toodle-woo!

"Loss" so beautifully expressed...

Ha-roo, all.
 Mom came across this deeply touching painting done by a fellow artist on an art website she frequents.  Mom wrote to the artist and asked permission to post it here, because we just know all our furiends in blogland will appreciate it.
... a fitting image to express the heartache wrought by the 2001 and 2012 September 11th attacks.

"LOSS"

The painting is huge... 8 1/2 feet across, and its currently displayed in an art contest in MI.  The mural artist's name is Eric, and its used here with his permission.   Please respect that it is copyrighted.  We're furry grateful he allowed us to post it.

wistful woos,
Jack & Moo

Saturday Catch-up Day

Ha-woo everyone!
Thought we'd stop by and share a few pictures with woo.
Summer has flown by, so lets go outside & check things out!

Right after mom planted these,  the blooms were
destroyed by rainstorms....
but new ones popped open and put smiles on our faces!

Our dwarf fruit trees were furry productive this year!
Check out the pretty pears and nectarines!

Our little angel's prayers and patience
were rewarded with lots of Impatience!

Dad brought mom these beawootiful sunflowers
from the Farmer's Market-
 she was delighted, and took lots of pictures of them.

and lastly, our little hydrangea plant did pretty well this year,
but as it gets closer to Autumn,  the blues are fading
 into these lovely orchid colors....so pretty!
Its actually been a little cooler outside this week!
(We Siberians appreciate a good cool spell)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Monday's View from the Moo: Spooky Jack

Good Moorning everyone!
Woozers, its been a few weeks since I got my paws on the keyboards for a Monday View from the Moo, but I'm gonna type real fast while the Momster is making coffee before she demands her computer back.

Since the end of spring, she's been working at Michael's Crafts (two doors down from Petco, where we pets go) and she says that the walls are already lined with decorations for Halloween and Christmas.  Santas, reindeers, angels, sparkly stuff,  & rows of bows .... and there are skulls, masks bats and black cats, creepy goons, spiders and witches..... and Spooky Town, a miniature village that could be the scene of your next nightmare.   The cashiers are treated to erie music and intermittent blood-curdling screams coming from Spooky Town all day long, now thru Oct 31st.... what a pleasant work environment!  So glad we huskies get to stay home & relax all day!

But mom wondered if maybe her work was following her home after she snapped this daytime picture of me and the Jackster....what do woo think?
Wooo-oooo-oooo!

....and that's this week's view from the Moo!

Toodle-woo,

Way to go, Jack a-roo!   I'm so proud of woo!
~Moo

(mom made this cool little animation of our backyard bunnies...
don't worry, this one is still around)
~~~~~~~~~~
Uh-oh, poor baby bunny....
Jack, drop it.
Drop it Jack.
JACK-  DROP IT.
~says Mom as she pries his jaws open.
"I  think she may have left some fur behind..."
"Oh poo, no bunny bits left"
Jack a-roo
Hope woo have a more satisfying weekend than I'm having....
Monday's View from the Moo: Our exciting weekend
It was a furry busy weekend at Moo Mansion!
Dad's brother came from OH to visit.
Mom & Dad took him out sailing on Saturday.
Jack & I stayed home to guard the yard.
 On Sunday we had more visitors - one of Dad's nieces
and her family just moved to RI!
We all went out to Brenton's Point to walk on the rocks.
 So much to see & sniff!
At the park, we met this charming 4-month old pup -
doesn't he have a "familiar" look to him?
We thought so, and it turns out that he is from
my home kennel, Liyaza Siberians!
Its possible we are related - we sure look like we could be!
He came running over & put his paws all over me wanting to play.
(Mom will check into it & find out if he's one of my nephews....)
I'm really good with puppies - both canine & human!
Here I am, teaching one of the human pups about using dog doors.
With a little help, she & her sister caught right on and had
lots of fun going in & out thru the doggie door.
I think their parents will have to get one installed
in their house!
Dad fired up the grill for brats & burgers, and Mom made
our guests a Rhode Island favorite -
Lobster Mac & Cheese!
Mmmmmm, it was yummy!
The girls didn't finish their dinner, so we got hot dogs too.
These mini bi-peds are pretty nice to have around -
lots of extra food, and lots and lots of petting.
Mom says we were very good dogs and did a good job
keeping them safe from harm.
I guess its just in our nature.  After all, Siberians were bred to
be comapnions to children * as well as working dogs!
And that wraps up this week's View from the Moo!
Toodle-woo!
Wooooooooo-oooooo!
Woooo!   I must be having heat stroke!
I swear I saw Jack playing in the snow!
I'm going in to lie down......
Ha-woo!   This fake snow I ordered is even more fun than I imagined!
