Well Ammy, I'm glad woo asked. Here's a little tutorial on how I use the walls and landing for my meditation practice. There's a bit of yoga involved....

Notice how this first position is a little like a "down-dog" done sideways... this gives my back a really good stretch and gets me me all lined up... (Dad says it looks like I'm flying)
Then-

Notice how my back feety-feets can now use the adjacent wall for leverage from this new position - not a spec of wasted movement! And oh, so relaxing. Don't worry, the humans will adjust and do some yoga of their own to step around woo without falling down the stairs, ha-roo roo!

If there's no handy stair landing, just adapt to whatever is around - here I am, demonstrating using the bottom stair and china cabinet in place of right-angled walls. This position has the added bonus of a paw rest, too!
Wow, Jack, I'm impressed! Those are some class A husky yoga poses.

Oh, Jack! That was so informative! Thank roo; what a great tutorial! I'll give it a try; Zim has some similar moves, so I think I'll be able to do it, with his help. We'll print out this blog post and follow along!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Ammy
Thanks for the tips, we will have to try to get to the landing and test it out. Thunder is pretty good at doing something similar under Mom's desk in the kitchen.

Wow! That looks like it might be a little challenging. Thank you for the step by step explanation. I'm going to spend a little time each day practicing.I really like the one with the single paw on the stairs--very nice!

Absolutely stunning work. We do some amazing sleeping positions, but the humans have banned us from the stairs because they say we are a safety hazard. Hrmph.
ReplyDeleteI think I should try this. I just have to remember not to push off with my back feet, otherwise I might push myself down the stairs!!
